Cultural, Creative writer

In 2019, I graduated with a BA in English Literature with Creative Writing from UEA, where I am currently doing an MA in Modern and Contemporary Writing. My undergraduate dissertation took the form of a short story and was inspired by the aftermath of the Colectiv nightclub fire in Romania, while my current thesis is focused on plot structure in postmodernist Robert Coover’s fairy tales. This diverse focus informs my own reading habits – from Russian to Japanese literature, I am endlessly fascinated by literary works from all over the world. In my future articles for The Mackayan, I will seek to explore cultural identity through literature, and also examine if our own perception of literary texts changes over time.I also am passionate about investigating cultural aspects outside literary works, and I’m hoping to explore many relevant issues in my future articles.
